Offline Base64 Privacy Policy

Publisher: jubeater
Effective date: October 18, 2026

Offline Base64 is a Chrome extension that encodes and decodes Base64 and reverses conversion results locally on your device.

Information processed locally

The extension processes text you paste or type and the contents of text files you explicitly select. This information is used only to perform the conversion, display the result, reverse text when requested, and provide copying or downloading when you choose those actions.

Input and results are kept in the open extension page's memory. The extension does not save a conversion history, use browser storage, or retain this data after its page closes or reloads. You can clear the current input and output using the Clear button.

No collection or transmission to the publisher

The publisher does not receive, collect, store, sell, or share your input, results, selected files, browsing history, or usage information. The extension makes no network requests and includes no analytics, advertisements, tracking code, external libraries, or remotely hosted executable code. Its Content Security Policy blocks network connections.

Clipboard and downloaded files

The extension writes a result to the clipboard only when you click Copy result. It does not read your clipboard in the background. Text you explicitly paste is handled locally, including checking the size limit. If clipboard writing is unavailable, it selects the result so you can copy it manually.

Clicking Download result creates a local file using Chrome's download mechanism. Clipboard contents and downloaded files may remain on your device after the extension closes. You control them through your operating system and browser; the extension does not delete them automatically.

Permissions and browser behavior

The extension requests no Chrome extension permissions and no website-access permissions. It does not inject scripts into websites or monitor pages you visit. Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, other extensions, and your operating system have their own independent behavior and privacy policies. For example, Chrome may check for extension updates independently of this extension's code.

Support

If you contact zhangtianlin15@gmail.com, the publisher receives the email address and message you choose to send, uses them to respond and resolve your request, and retains the correspondence as needed for that purpose. Gmail processes support email under its own terms and privacy policy. Do not send passwords, tokens, private proxy links, or other secrets in support messages.

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the extension. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
